People exhibit a curious relationship with FL; they’re either enthusiasts or detractors. Yet, imagine how mundane the world would be if everyone shared the same viewpoint. Let’s appreciate the diversity of opinions and adopt a more open-minded perspective.
But even for the detractors, it is undeniable that Florida boasts one of its most prominent features—abundant access to water. A State adorned with thousands of parks nestled amidst its aquatic landscapes, offering easy accessibility, predominantly free for both residents and the millions of visitors who flock to the state each season.

Sawfish Bay Park is beautifully curated and maintained and was dedicated on July 17th 2007. The juxtaposition of this intimate park runs along the well-trafficked north side of A1A. But be careful, because you might miss the entrance if not paying attention and it’s a convoluted route to get back.
Upon entering the water, you’ll encounter an interconnected network of mangroves, complemented by the town’s creation of cozy beachfronts featuring picnic tables and inlets. Revel in the wildlife both above and below you, momentarily escaping from the hustle and bustle of humanity. It’s advisable to paddle through this hidden gem on weekdays, as it tends to draw crowds on weekends—and rightfully so. Parking is limited and if you get there early, find a spot at the north end near the only beach launch.
As a side note, I am sorry to say, Dogs and alcohol are not permitted in this park, so take your dog to Ralph’s Stand Up Bar a little further south off A1A
