Another day paddling along the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) with my dear high school friend, Wendy, who is featured in almost all of these paddle boarding trips. But on this particular day, the water was exceptionally clear, and the wind was gently onshore, creating a serene atmosphere on the ICW. It was just one of those magnificent days, which is nothing new for us Floridians, except that we had no predefined route. We simply paddled around, wandering, enjoying the events as they unfolded, and eventually found ourselves at the sandbar flag. There, we stepped off our boards and sat in the warm, tropical waters, much like the three pelicans nearby.
I had, or at least I thought I had, captured more underwater video of the numerous turtles with my GoPro. However, I encountered an issue where the GoPro would turn off when I said, “GoPro–start recording,” and then start recording when I said, “GoPro, stop recording.” It seems I’ll need to send GoPro a new feature request to change the beeps: one beep for turning on and two beeps for turning off.
