For my Toyota Tacoma I installed a Victory 4×4 roof system, which holds everything from kayaks to surf & SUP boards and an occasional church pew (LOL)
I had been using rubber and bungee cords for my surf boards and those two-piece automotive ratcheting straps for my kayaks. When I purchased the SUP and drove across the state, the straps I was using were cumbersome to set up with all this excess strapping. In addition, the wind noise was terrible and I could see the SUP board lifting from gusts. It was time to invest in something I could use for everything, something easy to set up as well as feel the cargo was secure.

I looked around on amazon and tried to purchase some COR surf straps, but for some reason the order was canceled and the items were returned to sender before I ever received them. So back to Amazon. I saw these Earth River SUP Straps and truly believe things happen for a reason, because these straps have two features I never thought of when looking…. 1) The Teflon pad under the metal clip to prevent scratching the rails of the SUP

2) The storing loop for a neat and clean tie down.
The clips are also coated and I will report back after a few months to see how they hold up. For now, I’m a fan.
